Executive Assistant

Proletariat is seeking candidates for a brand new Executive Assistant position to join our People Operations team and support our CEO and Executive team. This position will interface with teams on the development and business sides of the company and play a key part in ensuring the highest priorities are given adequate time with appropriate executive team members. The most successful candidate in this role will be highly organized, trustworthy, and have a high degree of discretion especially when dealing with confidential information.


  • Manage and maintain the calendars of the CEO and other executives
  • Prioritize meeting requests as they come in and attend to them in order of priority
  • Interface with managers of varying levels of seniority to ensure they get time with the CEO and executive team when appropriate
  • Handle all communications for the CEO and executives in a courteous and professional manner
  • Reliable in following-up on a wide range of information and action items to iterate on process and ensure nothing gets left behind
  • Collect and synthesize information into action items for executives’ attention while they are unavailable
  • Act as a point of contact for all things related to the CEO and other executives’ calendars
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and executive team on all new project ventures as they arise
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the CEO and executives
  • Some budgeting responsibilities
  • Collaborate with People Operations team on event coordination and drafting/editing company-wide communications
  • Maintain awareness of which parties are privy to confidential information and arrange communications accordingly
  • May be called upon to iterate on current business practices to increase efficiency and advise team on how to establish best practices


  • 5+ years of professional experience in an administrative or executive administrative role required
  • 2+ years of experience working closely with executives in a related industry (tech or startup) preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, reading comprehension, and ability to analyze communication
  • Ability to understand the guiding principles of team leadership in order to make decisions with a high degree of discretion
  • Previous experience working with confidential information preferred
  • Thoroughness and patience to fully understand communication before responding or delivering information
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of information into manageable communications
  • Ability to view a situation from the perspectives of both executive staff and employee population
  • Eagerness to learn the particulars of a new environment and group of people
